Why
In a world where one gets constantly bombarded with information, deadlines, outside pressures & expectations - one easily can get lost…Symptoms include tiredness, stress related health problems such as headaches, anxiousness, low energy and much more. Rejuvenate with our energy days days! Through a mix of yoga, pilates, equine therapy and forest healing techniques you can rediscover your inner strength and energy source.
Where
On the edge of a magical forest in a quaint little village 45 minutes south of Vienna sits an old Villa lovingly called Villa Kunterbunt*. This is where our mini-energize days will take place. The village is not only home of the birthplace of todays Austrian Republic (Schloss Eichbüchl) but also to one of the Trapp sisters from the famed movie “Sound of Music”. Here we will explore techniques to de-digitalize, walk the forest, use our horses to rediscover ourselves and re-energize.
*Villa Kunterbunt was the home of the main character Pippi Longstockings from the books by Author Astrid Lindgren. Pippi has taught many generations of children that it’s ok to be unique and different as well as to believe in a magical and creative way to live even if this means going against set norms and expectations.
The Team
Simone Schärf is the owner of Villa Kunterbunt. She is a graduate of New York University (Bachelor of Arts) and has previously worked in the media industry in New York City, Hong Kong, Berlin, and Vienna. By 27 years of age, she started her own business, the Bagel Station and successfully sold it by 30. She continued to create different ventures worldwide and divides her time between Austria, USA and Costa Rica. Being a single mom of 2 sons while fiercely moving her passion projects forward is her most rewarding but at the same time difficult challenge in life. In recent years, Simone has become a certified Pilates and Yoga Teacher as well as Equine Therapist. These additional certifications have deepened her understanding of the value of slower and less as well as mindfulness and being in the moment. Through the workshops offered and expertise gathered, Simone is hopeful to transfer some of these deeper understandings to others.
Similar to Simone, Mag. Carina Hambl previously successfully worked in the private sector until discovering that her passion for health and yearning for wholeness simple could not fit into a regular work schedule. Her intense experience in leadership trainings during her corporate life, deeply seeded her passion to teach and empower others. Carina continues her personal growth spending a good portion of her life in India to learn about the ancient traditions and way of life. Her journey has also brought her to Central America, Japan, New Zealand and many other parts of the world. She has acquired many certification including Yogatherapy, Yin Yoga, Hatha Yoga, Vinyasa Yoga, Asthanga Yoga but certainly understands that there is no final end in learning. In a quest to give back some of her knowledge gained, she is a teacher at heart and we are proud to have her teach with us.
